Ways to Give
No matter which way you choose to give back, you are contributing to every success story to come out of DSU. Ways to give include contributing to the annual fund, to a specific campaign, to athletic teams and more.
For donors interested in naming opportunities, various possibilities with different financial requirements exist.
Donors may choose to establish a scholarship, endowed fund or an endowed scholarship. The financial requirements vary for each.
Planned gifts establish a legacy of positive impact on the DSU community and may exceed what you thought possible.
Support an area of interest
DSU allows donors to pick and choose who and what to support. Find additional information below on donating to what you know and love at DSU.
Corporations & Foundations
From recruiting and mentoring students, to funding world-changing research and education programs at DSU, corporations and foundations have many opportunities to make a difference in our world.
Every day DSU is changing the lives and futures of students, their families and the larger community for the better.
Support your Passion
As a donor, you can support a chosen area of specific interest to you. This may be your academic college, a research program, a memorial fund or an activity you participated in. For alumni especially, this is a great way to stay connected to the community you were a part of while attending DSU.
Greater than One Campaign Success
Started in January 2011, the Greater than One Campaign was initiated to specifically benefit students — 85% of students at DSU rely on financial aid and scholarships. At the completion of the campaign, 4 months ahead of schedule, we proudly exceeded our goal by raising $20,370,762. We are honored by the overwhelming response from our supporters, and our students are eternally grateful.
Impact of the GTO campaign
The Greater than One Campaign has improved the quality of education at DSU by allocating funds to scholarships, endowment, University support, student programs and faculty support. Allowing proper funding to all these areas improves the experience for the whole DSU community. Giving the tools for a better education makes a ripple effect throughout the community, creating a positive impact.
Reasons for donating may differ, but every donation carries the same significance: it makes an important difference in the lives of every student at DSU. We are grateful for each and every donor who has joined the Swarm to support DSU.
There is No Greater Gift than Opportunity
In addition to the GTO campaign, we are grateful for the generous donations received and partnerships created with generous corporations and foundations that have created opportunities for student success.

“ Delaware State University has played an integral part in who I am as a human being. This family, the DSU family, is part of my DNA, part of my legacy. Consequently, why I give back is very simple. It’s my responsibility.” Kevin D. Wright, Class of 1991
